The Tanith First-And-Only embark on a desperate mission that could decide the fate of the Sabbat Worlds Crusade in the thirteenth book of this popular Imperial Guard series.
The Ghosts of the Tanith First-and-Only have been away from the front line for too long. Listless, and hungry for action, they are offered a mission that perfectly suits their talents. The objective: the mysterious Salvation’s Reach, a remote and impenetrable stronghold concealing secrets that could change the course of the Sabbat Worlds campaign. But the proposed raid is so hazardous, it’s regarded as a suicide mission, and the Ghosts may have been in reserve for so long they’ve lost their edge. Haunted by spectres from the past and stalked by the Archenemy, Colonel-Commissar Gaunt and his Ghosts embark upon what could be their finest hour… or their final mission.

Ill get my negatives out the way first, I couldn't help but feel that this book was rushed, there is to much build up and the end leaves alot to be desired. On the other hand as a HUGE fan of the ghosts i couldnt help but get drawn into the book yet again, its been so long i have actually missed the characters. Even this far down the line i still miss colm corbec more than other character. As the pro's outweigh the cons i will say this is a good book and still not one to be missed for die hard fans of this series.
Woot!

Aside from numerous typos (more so than any other BL book that I've read), it was absolutely awesome. I will agree that it seemed rushed, However, in the end, it ranks at my number 2 favorite GG book, after Only In Death. MAJOR plot twist towards the beginning of the book, had me literally going WHAT THE FETH?!? Highly recommend this book.
More to come?

Although Salvation's Reach is an amazing book with fantastic character development , especially for the new characters from previous books joining the regiment and new , emerging characters ; the book is fast paced and at the end you will have a lot of questions that you want answered. The thing that i feel is this book's main strength is the fact that the character of the Tanith 1st as a regiment is really developed in this book. Fantastic job by Dan Abnett and i really hope the new book will arrive soon as this book certainly lays the foundation for the end of the Sabbat Worlds Crusade.

Another great story from Mr Abnett. It was good to see the Ghosts back in action. The introductions of the new characters was interesting. Although I did call it right away when the "guy" from Vruvunhive stepped off the shuttle. But that was an interesting addition to the story. However, I feel that this was book one of two. I will await for Salvation's Reach part deux to come out. I hope it is sooner rather then later.

This is by far the best Gaunts Ghosts novel I have read so far! If you have kept up with the Ghosts and are a fan this does not disappoint. I must have!
