Survival Instinct
Rated 5 out of 5 by Frank
Almost finished "Survival Instinct" by Andy Chambers, I can't strongly recommend it enough. It's so remarkably different from any other 40k fiction I've yet read. Pips easily and pleasantly in front of other Urban SF novels too. The imagery in it is quite fantastic, the feel you get for the Hive alone makes it a delight to read. Also: the book is absolutely massive. It is big enough not only to work as an awesome coffee table book, but as a coffee table itself!
The best of the best
Rated 5 out of 5 by Jason
I have read most all the books in this onmibus. They do better than most every other BL book to bring the world of warhammer 40k to life. Believable characters such as the lamplighter in Junktion or Mad Donna and their non-standard adventures show the writers talent in taking a wholly unique universe and adding detail. Hard pressed to pick, but Salvation and Junktion are two of the best sci-fi books I have read in a long time. They take you outside the tired old "follow the hero" and show you a few dark nights in the life of a average citizen of the Imperium. Great stuff, really.
Need this in Ebook format!

The Necromunda books really provide a different and interesting view of 'life' in the 40k Universe. Need this in Epub. ("or else", said Mad Donna)
