Average book
Rated 2 out of 5 by rosethorn
A fairly average book showing off the elite stormtroopers, not what i was expecting when i started reading it and so far i am finding it slow going, some of the names are damn near impossible to pronounce as well. And having nearly a full guard regiment mutiny and get away with it also seems unlikely in the grim 40k universe but still a mildly enterntaining read, i can only hope that he gets better should he do anymore so to finish up 2.5 out of 3
not brilliant but an enjoyable read
Rated 3 out of 5 by James
i thought that the book was reasonably entertaining but was set out in a slightly odd way. despite this being a little wierd it worked and was a good read. however, you have to ask: had the author seen blackhawk down before he wrote the book?
Good Book..
Rated 3 out of 5 by Mike
Good Book, will agree the lay out was strange, one major fault this website and the back of the book state's the main character is a 'Captain Mortensen' yet in the book he is a Major...
Very good and well written book
Rated 4 out of 5 by Jay
Really disagree with Rosethorn. This is very well written book that does not do what is expected. One of the best Imperial Guard books I have read. It is original and not at all cliched. Everyone raves about Aaron D-B but this book is better than Cadian Blood!
Just okay

Rob Sanders is new to me but his way of telling a story is not. Redemption Corps can at times be entertaining, but these passages occur seldom. Mostly it boils down to long and tedious action sequences with the one-dimensional protagonist Major Mortensen in the lead.
Something missing
Rated 4 out of 5 by Derek
I'm giving this book a 4, mostly because I found it imaginative. It came as no surprise to discover that the writer was a teacher, and not in a military organization. Rob, if you read this, please consult with some veterans on your next book. Even though they wont be warriors from the future, it takes a certain mindset, and changes one's view of the world to be in a war, in such a way that is hard to relate to, or even describe. That being said, if I had never been to war, I would never have noticed anything missing.
