Enforcer Shira Calpurnia maintains a tough line on law and order in the Hydraphur system. Home to Imperial warfleets, this area of space is riven with violence and corruption. Calpurnia's duty is to protect the innocent and punish the guilty - with extreme prejudice. This omnibus collects the novels Crossfire, Legacy and Blind as well as new content from Matt Farrer.

Expect awesomeness!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Jason
The Shira Calpurnia books are IMHO three of the BEST novels set in W40k ever written. For once we are not on the battlefields against rampaging Orks or forces of Chaos. Instead we are caught up in the Imperial intrigues light years away from the "front line". These involve the Navy Nobility, the Ministorum, the Mechanicum, Rogue Trader families and the Astra Telepathica. The third novel "Blind" is particularly good as it goes into detail about how astropathic choirs work while wrapping it in a great "crime noir" story. I hope this includes some short stories AND I hope for more novels soon!
Exceptional New Talent
Rated 5 out of 5 by Adam
An amazing insight into the inner workings of His most loyal Adeptus Arbites, and their relationships with other institutions inside the Imperium. This book also gives insight to the Imperial Nobility, Astra Telepathica and the renown Rogue Traders. Definatley a part of the Imperium that is lightly touched thus far in novels and im looking forwards to the new ones from Matt Farrer.
One of 40k's best series'.
Rated 5 out of 5 by W
The Shira Calpurnia books are among the first I recommend to people new to the 40k universe. Offering a great deal of detail and flavor on a range of 40k organizations, this series helps paint a very good picture of what life is like outside the life of Inquisitors and Space Marines. I may well have to buy the Omnibus merely for the new short content it provides.
not only war

decent, bart hard to get into
Rated 3 out of 5 by Billy
I can't give this more than a three because it is just SO hard to get into, I managed to get to the end of the first story but I just couldn't get into the others, many people tell me those are the better two, but hey. buy this if you have good staying power. it's a shame because Calpurnia is such a good character.
