Another 5/5 Audio Drama and a welcome addition to the Caiaphas Cain story line.
An alternative view of the galaxy...
Rated 4 out of 5 by Brother Endeavour
This was my first Ciaphas Cain tale and I will be looking to read more stories featuring him. Sandy Mitchell has created a fantastic counterpoint to the majority of the 40K universe: in a place of extremes populated by single-minded, zealous and steadfast individuals on all sides, Cain's position of self-preservation, jaded pragmatism and absolutely not believing he is going to change the galaxy alone is a wonderful change. Dead in the Water enables Cain to shine, puts a nice spotlight on the Imperial Guard and has a well-crafted murder-investigation feel running through it. Recommended.

Dead in the Water = Great Cain story.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Michael
This audio drama featuring Commissar Ciaphas Cain contains all that is good about Sandy Mitchell's Cain series. The drama captures the key (and fun) elements of the Cain stories in a small, tight package.
