It was a great read!
Rated 4 out of 5 by John
Let me start with saying I love the Ghost novels. They are what got me stared into the Warhammer Universe. That being said, the book was a great read. The story was solid and I found it hard to put it down. There are other Gaunt stories I like better, but this one was a good way to step back into the series after what felt like a long hiatus. I especially liked the way it touched on past story lines. I just hope we don't have to wait so long for the next one.
Tense and exciting

Just when I think that Gaunt has bitten off more than he can chew he skims out of harms way by the gusset of his trousers once again. A vivid and fulfilling read that made me look at Ban Daur in a completely different light

this is a very nice book but the best part of this book is that the run of the mill chaos soldiers are show as people who have their own desire and hopes and not simply meat pupates with no desire what so ever. we need more book like this
