Chaos fans rejoice!, Loyalist fans sulk!

Henry Zou has created one hell of a Chaos Space Marine novel here. Not a loyalist dog in sight, just the brutal followers of Chaos. This novel is definitely worth getting as its much, much better then his last two novels.

Fantastic book. Definitely a big fan of the Blood Gorgons despite their traitorous disposition :). Henry Zho paints a wonderful picture of their history and important traditions as they struggle against one of their own who attempts to sell them out to a "greater" power.
Zou completes the Hat Trick!

Three books down and I remain thoroughly impressed with Mr. Zou. What I liked about Soul Drinkers and loved about Soul Hunter is reflected here as well - a chaos chapter the reader can readily attach to. The Cauldron Born has more character than most ships in 40k and it plays a big part for the Gorgons and the book itself. The strength of the Gorgons' identity without relying on one of the big 4 chaos powers makes for great reading too. I can say with absolute confidence - Mr. Zou, you write it and I will buy it.
chaos has more fun

I would love for them to get a second book. this chapter has a lot of promise.(i hope bl will okay another book?)
Really Good!

A very good insight into the inner workings of a Chaos Astartes Chapter. Awesome characters, vivid scenery, attention to detail is spot on. Only a few nagging points in the plot made me go “Huh?”, but other then that it was a very, very enjoyable and interesting story. Would like to see a lot more HZ in the future please.
Great read

Really enjoyed the book, I burned right through it; had great depth, the characters were well made, and a good plot, Zou is the truth, I can't wait for another Blood Gorgons novel.
Wicked Chaotic Book!

Chaos vs Chaos... No Imperium or the good guys for a change in this novel. Very tense and gripping story to read, got me to finish the book very quickly I have to admit. Excellent characters although alot of them were killed off in the story (which was a shame). The only minor drawback is that the bad guys get dispatched too easily (not going to spoil who they are) and the ending was abit quick and not explaining what they going to do with the planet they supposed to save. Apart from that, very enjoyable and action packed story...
barssbas is badass essy!

my first book on the bad guys n its a nice change to see how the other half live so to speak, shows chaos aint jus a bunch of thoughtless killers
Few thoughts on the novel.

Although I enjoyed this book, I think it was a bold broadening of how the WHk40 universe works. There is an overlapping Asian cultural tone throughout the book. This is not a complaint, but I did not really recognise myself as I am used to in the WHk40 universe at first when I started reading this book. I give it 4 out of 5 because there were few inconsistencies in some turn of events here and there. No biggie but it did bother me some, because it was not explored further and explained. Anyway a worth while read book about Chaos Space Marines. PS: The novel cover is so cool!

Absolutely stunning book. If you want to read abour renegade/Chaos Marines. This is the book. Out of the New Breed of Authors Henry is in my opinion the best of the bunch. Depth, Character, Suprises, Twists, Detail. Its all there. Highly Recommend. I wish I could do a Spinal Tap and rate this 11 out of 10.
Surprisingly good

After two not-that-good books about loyalists, Henry Zou writes a masterpiece about Chaos! It is obvious you belong here, Mr Zou! Keep it coming!
Almost make me want to cheer for chaos.

Realy enjoyed this book. Like the idea of a chaos chapter that is "loyal" to itself in a way . Squad members that actualy feel pain when a fellow squad member is killed. The story was very interesting and i couldnt stop reading the book. I would put it almost on par to soul hunte, so 4.5 to be precise. @blacklibrary: Couldnt u make a 1-10 rating sistem plz.
Blood Gorgons
Rated 4 out of 5 by Mark-Anthony
A good, solid read. Like the Asian overtone, it broadens the 40K universe significantly by introducing specific names and rituals related to the East. Would like to read more about Barsabbas and Gammadin and the Blood Gorgons. Although machines in 40K are semi sentient and almost have a character of their own, the Cauldron Born is a character in its own right. The detailing of the landscape was fabulous. The only downside is that in this book, the Blood Gorgons lose some of the aura and mystery inherent in the Dos Pares from Flesh and Iron.
