In surviving the horrors on board the Eisenstein, Nathaniel Garro proved his courage and absolute loyalty to the Emperor. On his return to Terra, Garro is despatched on a mission of even greater importance – a mission given to him by Malcador the Sigillite himself. He soon finds himself back amongst the stars and on the fields of battle, thrust into a warzone where the Ultramarines are purported to be battling a greenskin invasion. Once again Garro must fight for survival, but now he also fights to achieve a higher purpose...

The Horus Heresy series is awesommee! but please stop putting sound effects of the narration on the audio books!
Audio and Paper?
Rated 4 out of 5 by David
If a paper script was written for the audio books surely can't we have a paper book as well?
A printed version ?
Rated 5 out of 5 by Aymeric
Ah, I'm almost confident (and I pray hard for that) they 'll publish a book with all the text of the Horus Heresy's audiobooks like they did for the Blood Angels ...
Garro beyond
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simon
Finally we're going to learn of Garro and his journey's beyond the Eisenstien. PS keep the sound effects it makes listening to the story much better and adds to the impact. Wouldn't mind a different choice of readers though.
40k audiobooks
Rated 5 out of 5 by greybeard
its a shame i cant give a higher score, all the books so far have been fantastic, and the sound effects make the whole experence amazing although it would be better if the sound effects were lower than the readers voice
GAHAHA
Rated 4 out of 5 by Jonas
I got the feeling this WILL be a good one. Just one thing I DON'T like here. I want a book to READ for myself not have someone read it for me... MAKE A BOOK OF THIS!

Appropiate Music
Rated 5 out of 5 by Axios_Orthodoxos
The background music is awesome! It's gives a nice feeling or ambiance to the narration.
In one word: Amazing!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rhys
This was my first audio-book to purchase, and from the outset I was cautious. Would anyone have the right voice and manner to present the 40K universe in a way that would do it justice? Tobby Longworth not only put my fears to rest, but he excels at marking the gritty atmosphere of the grim far future, and Oath of Moment is a must by for any fan of Games Workshop!
God stuff
Rated 4 out of 5 by BLZ
Excellent story well read and effects :) if only it was longer
Garro not so exciting
Rated 3 out of 5 by James
I was super stoked to get this disc and play while painting my demons. Excitement changed to annoyance as I heard Toby interpret malcador the sigillite's voice. I have been a long time fan of BL's audio dramas and toby's work but this was a let down that left me with a feeling of bland work that had an unfinished feeling cliff hanger!
One word: Dull.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Will
One word springs to mind to describe this audio: Dull. The whole plot is effectively boring and adds nothing we didn't already know to the Heresy setting. The voice acting isn't great and once again James Swallow makes lore mistakes ('Adeptus' Astartes rather than 'Legio' Astartes) which just goes to show a lack of effort in terms of research/preparation. I enjoyed Raven's Flight and Dark King/Lightning Tower but this is just a let down, it's simply riding on the success of Garro (as a character) from FotE, and adds nothing new to the storyline or the character of Garro overall.
bring this out as a book
Rated 4 out of 5 by Luke
Why audio books when it's Garro. Please bring this out as a paperback novel and all othe Garro books. He's to awesome to have someone else read for you.
Garro : Oath of Moment
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hayden
Simply brilliant finally more with Garro in it, btw sound effects add impact
not bad, but left me wanting
Rated 4 out of 5 by jeff
Was pretty good audio book and enjoyed it immensely. Just found it to be a bit wanting at the end, and I felt it was too short. When I got to the end, I was checking to make sure I downloaded the whole audio book. I'm knew to audio books so thought perhaps I just don't 'get it' on this media but maybe having a solid ending would help. Big fan of BL and enjoying them in the US for years now. Can't wait to see more ebooks and perhaps audio's.
Oath of yoda
Rated 3 out of 5 by Aaron
Great story line and awesome sound fx,but not too sure about the voice of Malcador. He sounds like a gurning Yoda. :)
Garro's the man
Rated 3 out of 5 by Brother Endeavour
Nathaniel Garro is one of the most intriguing characters I have come across in Horus Heresy and 40K stories, which certainly makes for a good audiobook. Because the character is so unique and intertwined to the story of Horus Heresy it makes the strong narrative of Oath of Moment very compelling; and left me wondering if his mission may eventually become linked to the Deathwatch. I did find the action sequences in this story run-of-the-mill by Black Library standards, but the job James Swallow does with Garro and the other characters was excellent and makes this tale well worth checking out.
Good, but could be better
Rated 3 out of 5 by Hjörtur Már
It's a good title, as almost all of the other Horus Heresy books. However I can only give it a 3, because of Swallows annoying tendency to mix up details, like saying "Adeptus Astartes", when they weren't called that until AFTER the Heresy. They were called the "Legiones Astartes". Just wanted to get that out there.
Excellent addition to HH series
Rated 5 out of 5 by Yuki
I have always enjoyed the audio dramas released and this is no exception. I'm glad BL is focusing on other important characters of the Heresy, rather than the focus being on the main legions/Primarchs. Finally we get to see what Garro is up to after the episode in Eisenstein (and a possible revealation into the creation of Chapter 666?). Story was a little predictable but engaging. Definitely worth a buy if you are a fan of the HH era. =)
Poor value
Rated 2 out of 5 by Rich
This audio book was way too short for what you pay. It didn't add much to the series and although it was an interesting story to tell, you can't help but being ripped off for what you have paid. Only the audio quality stops me giving this one star.
Excellent
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tim
Very glad to hear the return of Garro, and now with a new mission, and a new livery. The start of what I hope is a great series to come.
Loving Garro
Rated 5 out of 5 by William
The Garro audio dramas are just terrific.
WOW!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Erik
This is amazing. The voices are well done (though Malcador sounds like the Emperor from Star Wars...) and the battle sounds really add to it. A great addition for anyone who enjoys the Horus Heresy era.
Good audio drama
Rated 5 out of 5 by Doelago
I must say that I loved listening to this audio drama. It was nothing short of awesome. I loved the flashbacks to his conversation with Malcador, and the combat was portrayed well. The sound effects were also just brilliant. Good book, definitive 5/5.
Great Stuff
Rated 5 out of 5 by Inedible Hulk
Great stuff despite the few background errors and I never knew the Ultramarines were South African ;)
Awesome :)
Rated 5 out of 5 by Philip
To all the people (like Will and Rich below) whom are saying that this story does not add anything new to the story line.. PLEASE read the books before you speak. Because this Audio book is about Garro and the Sigilite gathering loyalists to become the first members of the Grey Knights and the Inqusition whom are introduced to the Emperor during the Siege of Terra! This is an awesome Audio book, and worth the money if you are a big HH fan
Great, but a couple questions...
Rated 5 out of 5 by roadkillgi
This was a good setup for the stories to come, and I am glad to see Garro's character is continuing to be explored. It was expertly written and acted. Impressive that it is all just one guy doing the narration and voices. On that note, why does Malcador sound like the emperor from star wars? I kept expecting him to go "something something darkside". The way Malcador talks to Garro is condescending, where I would expect true compassion from that charactor. Also, why would anyone NOT want the sound effects? This is an audio drama, not an audio book. The sound effects are great.
