wow, truly an amazing job by all envolved. i was so immersed by this audio book i found myself listening to it all the way through in one go, it is a shame its mp3 only as myself and lots of others like to have hard copies. but im truly amazed by the listen. only have 1 gripe and thats the prize i know its expensive to produce these audiobooks but alot of people will begrudge paying 20 quid for a digital only copy, this comes from someone who has pretty much every single works by the black library. keep up the good work and prospero Burns next please.!

I cannot rate this book highly enough. Yes, at £20 it is expensive compared to some of the other material available from the Black Library, but if you like audio books and Warhammer 40k you will love this. This is one of the most thrilling ways to absorb the Horus Heresy and when given the option, which I really hope we are, I will buy the entire series through Audio. Quick Question, Do we have a confirmed release date for Prospero Burns on Audio yet? I will be ordering that one immediately also...:)

Didnt like the voice much. I thought the voices to be great for horus rising, but felt there was something a miss for the voices of magnus, arhiman and wyrdmake.

EXCELLENT!!!! Although I play 40K and have for many years, I have never read any of the novels. Given my long commute to work Audiobooks work really well for me and this GREAT WH40K listen. I wish they would do the whole Horus Heresy on audio!

Martyn Ellis is one of my favorite 'readers' for audio books and he doesn't disappoint in A Thousand Sons. Having not read the story, and wanting to use my limited free time for painting and 'reading' this massive 16 hours of audio provided a good couple weeks of enjoyment for me. Highly recommended.
