Black Library presents an epic celebration of the art of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Compiled by John Blanche from over thirteen years of astonishing images, Inquis Exterminatus is crammed with art from the past and present. There are pieces which have not been seen since the very earliest incarnations of the Warhammer 40,000 game - and a selection of works produced especially for this book.

An amazing collection of old and new artwork of the 41st millennium, some images I've not seen in over a decade. Recommended to anyone whose in to Warhammer 40k. One or two glaring omissions though, no Tau or Necron artwork... oh well, waiting patiently for volume 2 :D
An Excellent Compilation

A great collection of "classic" artwork, both old and new from some of Warhammer 40k's best artists (including some not seen since the Rogue Trader days!). I say "classic" because this very much has a second edition 40k feel to it, along with a distinct absence of some of the new races (no Tau or Necrons in sight). There are however a couple of glaring omissions, such as Horus vs the Emperor by Adrian Smith (neither old nor new), and cover art for the various editions of the game. In spite of this however, it is an excellent compilation and an essential purchase for diehard 40k fans.
Great buy

Great buy. A lot thicker than I thought it would be. Good to see the art work that inspired me as a kit again. Only complaint is the text within does not really add anything to the book. It would have been better used for the artists to describe their thoughts on selected pieces.
Highly recommended!

This is a must for the artwork fans! It comes with many drawings that i haven't seen for a long time, in really good printed paper in black and white and also in colour. One major drowback(for my liking at least)is that i'd prefer the painter's name beneath the painting rather than in the last page summary that gives you the page number and the name of the artist but the pages aren't numbered! Overall it worths its money, just please at the next attempt like this make it easer for us to now the name of the man behind the art!
Good, but mainly for the hardcore fans

This book has some really amazing art in it. Everything from Astartes to Eldar, and almost everything in between. However, there are a couple of downfalls in my opinion. First, very little of the art is in color. Not a big issue, though on a few of the pieces the lines get a little hard to see. There are probably only about 6 or 7 pages that actually have color artwork on them. Second, there are barely two pages of art about any battleships or space warfare, and none in color. Those are my personal favorite, so my opinion is swayed in this case. Other than that, I really recommend this book
