Good read, but not enough vampire

This was a very good read, with some excellent characters and interesting stories - but all the talk about Genevieve's adventures as a vampire are a little misleading. The stories here have very little - often nothing - to do with the title character's vampiric nature and, sometimes, very little to do with the title character. Don't get me wrong, it is well worth the read - especially the first two books - but don't come here looking for a deep vampire story, because in that respect it doesn't deliver.
