Audio sound effects well done. Jumped out of my seat with the ending. I need more!

Need more Garro Audio Dramas!

This was an amazing ride and following the further missions of Nathaniel Garro is an exciting passport through the Horus Heresy. The story was well paced and expertly conveyed by both voice and sound effects. I am looking forward to the continuing missions of Garro and his band of Loyalists!

The location of the planet clue you in to where but not to who....AWSEOME!!!

Now that was good!!!

Never left a review before but that was just too fantastic. Some people say they don't like audio books, but if you like 40K then you cannot fail to love this. Also just read Fear the Alien, sest book since Eisenhorn. Thanks Black Library, a good week.

Very Happy

Thank you for making this. Seriously. I loved the "reveal" - want to say more but don't want to spoil it for everyone else. Buy this

I did practically everything. And to top it off with such a revelation that all the fans were just waiting for...HELL YEAH!!!

Wow

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tim

Excellent quality audio drama. Brilliant story, fantastic setting and the *spoiler removed* was epic. Shame Garro's voice changed between adventures, but great all the same.

5 stars

Rated 5 out of 5 by rob

please bring out another soon! if i could find one thing to complain about it was that with the number of voices toby longworth has to speak it is diluting the individual differences between the speech of the main characters... well in my opinion. rubio lost his accent several times i thought and i found it hard at times to tell him from garro.

Masterclass - the best audio drama yet

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brother Endeavour

Garro – Legion of One contains a vital plot element in the Horus Heresy narrative, and the job done on it reflects this importance. Toby Longworth's voice work is always of a high standard, but James Swallow and him are clearly on the same wavelength as Swallow's writing consistently brings out his best performances. Swallow has mastered the audio drama format and uses everything it offers in his story telling, creating a dynamic story framed in epic times that builds towards a shocking revelation. Strongly recommended to anyone who likes the BL, and Horus Heresy readers can't miss this one!

it was great i will admit that! but too short im dieing for a 9-12 hour book on Garro and "The Rest"(i didnt want to say whoim still to damn tickled by it). but yes i will pay alot for a full book to either read or listen to.

Follow that!

Brilliantly written, though I guessed the ending, the way James handled the characters and described the scences was masterful. The best Audio drama I've heard yet from BL, Mr Swallow nails it.

Incredible

I was listening to this while painting, and I dropped my brush at the twist. This was by far the best Audio drama I have listened to in my life. This is amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing

Interesting

Rated 4 out of 5 by Melvin

An interesting tale. While the big unveil can be largely guessed at it is still a good one and the twist was a nice one that had me thinking for a moment. All in all a good addition to the Garro series and a good foundation for what is to come. My only complaint is the choice of voice for Garro, but other than that, a good story.

Can't wait for the next one!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gus

Well, I guessed where they were and 'what' they were looking for pretty much from the start... but I'm glad it happened (so difficult trying not to give anything away!) My only criticism is that Rubio spoke significantly more quietly than the others... I want to know what happens next! Where will their 'mission' take them! :-D

Great quality, but comparatively pricey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hector

The audio quality is great. As is the narration and story. My only problem here is the price. You see, the audio drama goes for $14 and it will last for around an hour. A movie will give you 1.5 hrs. of entertainment for less than that and you have to consider the production cost of a movie, which goes in the millions of dollars. The comparison is even more evident when compared with the prices of video games. Bottom line is the stories are too short for the money they're asking for them. I really can't see the justification. Highly entertaining and well done though.

A brilliant example of Audio drama.

I loved this Audio book, a long over due answer to many questions left in the air by the earlier Horus Heresy books. Voice acting I feel is top notch and the story line leaves you itching for more. My personal kudos to the Voice Actor of Cerberus, and James Swallow for the writing.

Wow, nicely done...

Rated 5 out of 5 by Manuel

That was a great 67 minutes of entertainment. Audio Quality - great. But the most important part is the dialogues and the suspense that is being built up, and that had me gripped from the get go until the end. And to have such a great .. reveal at the end.. really, almost brought me to tears. :)

Garro: Legion of One

Rated 5 out of 5 by Walter

This is an essential story in the Horus Heresy series. The story-line was amazing and audio voice and special effects were first class. All that coupled with a amazing revalation at the end that will leave you cheering for more makes this audio drama a must!!

He's Back!

Enjoyed Oath of Moment, but this was just wicked! The planet, the characters; just awesome!

Great

Rated 4 out of 5 by Alexander

I have never bought one of these before but I have to say it was better than I thought it was. My only comment would be at times it was hard to follow along during the combat but apart from that it was perfect.

The wolf-hound at the gates of Hell

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brian

Easily the finest piece of 40k fiction I've had the pleasure of listening too. The mental and spiritual agony of "Cerberus" is both is so well written and acted, you'd have to be a true heretic not to be moved.

What A Twist

Rated 5 out of 5 by Erik

I pretty much knew where they were and who Cerebus is (I think I read it somewhere), but the reveal still sent a chill down my back. The giant twist towards the end literally made me stop and rewind, just to make sure I had heard correctly. MORE GARRO!!!!!

Brilliant

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mark

very good story, listen to it at work alot :p brilliant heroism, the stuff of legends...the stuff of grey knights!

Well Done

Rated 5 out of 5 by roadkillgi

I have followed every scrap of everything coming from the heresy series and this audio drama idea was the best idea to come out of it so far. That said, this was certainly the best ending to any story in the series. My jaw hit the floor when they said his name. Bravo. That said, I can't imagine Garro sounding like that. His voice and demeanor was better in Oath of Moment.
