It is M32, a thousand years after the Horus Heresy. The Scouring is over and the Imperium at the height of its post-Crusade power. When Magnus the Red is tracked down to Gangava Prime, the Space Wolves hasten to engage the daemon primarch. Even as Great Wolf Harek Ironhelm closes on his ancient enemy, the Fang on the Space Wolves home world is besieged by a massive force of Thousand Sons. A desperate battle ensues as the skeleton forces of Wolf Lord Vaer Greylock attempt to hold back the attacking hosts before the last of his meagre defences gives in. Though a single Scout ship survives to summon Great Wolf Harek Ironhelm back to Fenris, none of the defenders truly realise the full scale the horror that awaits them, nor what the Battle for the Fang will cost them all.

This book needs to be turned into audio book, just like prospero burns and a thousand sons after all its payback 10,000 years later. brilliant read 5 out of 5 but i still need to be able to listen in the car and finish the story of magnus and the wolves.
Awesome!!!!!

Battle of the Fang

I am waiting on this battle book with EAGER anticipation, YES I agree with some the battles with Orks, to over done, though Rynns world and Helsreach were great reading, a new enemy is spice needed! I await this novel and HOPE this isnt the first and last we see of the Wolves in this series, I would love to see the ONE great battle of the Wolves that stands out, and one that isnt talked about much save in their codex, 1st War of Armageddon. just a thought *chuckles* Long live RUSS!

Even though I know the outcome, I will always look forward to TS vs. SW rematches.

Having read The HH Thousand Sons book, Im siding with Magnus and the rest of the sons. They have so much depth in comparison to the grunting, "teeth barring" space wolves, and their tactics are much less conventional too. But in comparison to the thousand sons book, i'm really excited to see what kinda retribution the Sons have up their sleeves. For Magnus!
YAYYYYYYY
Rated 5 out of 5 by Liam
5/5 before I've read it simply cos it's about my wolves:) after the slight disappointment of the HH wolves novel(just wanted more fleshing out the legion/russ's early days more emperor stuff less bloody serf gumpf-though looking forward to where the primarchs go after horus gets his:) Please black library can we have all publications in in PROPER-BOOK and audio-book formats thank you
Best of the series
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ed
My copy arrived yesterday and I read it cover to cover in a day. This is easily the best of the "Battles" series to date and is close in quality to some of the Horus Heresy books. Whilst some of the other Battles books have lacked depth and read like they were written for kids in parts, Battle of the Fang is really well written and expands well on the lore from a Thousand Sons and Prospero Burns. I'm glad I stuck with this series after the rather dissapointing Rynn's World and Voldorius because since Helsreach the books have been getting steadily better and better. Top stuff.

Best Space wolves book sice the Ragnar Series.Prospero Burns did not have enough of the wolves, this was brutal and entertaining. Great Book, and the best so far of the Space Marines Battles Series.
Chris Wraight got it right!!!!

what an awesome and fun rear. It was like watching a movie. Non stop action and a great story line. and Space wolves...its a EPIC WIN. must read. It goes into the 'can be read again' collection.
Brilliant!

Could anyone have asked for a better follow up to "A Thousand Sons"? NO! This book is by far one of the best 40K books written, full of such depth and detail you could feel the Fenrisian cold biting at your skin. The characters were well-rounded and the details of combat visceral and engrossing. I could go on and on about what I loved about this book, but I'll keep it brief: any fan of the Space Wolves, the Thousand Sons, and/or Warhammer 40K should put this on their "must read" list. Chris Wraight did a fantastic job with this book and I can't wait to read more of his work.
Fantastic space marine battles continue w/ the Fang

What can I say, another epic space marine battle novel. You guys keep writing these awesome, action packed, and bloody books and this one is no different. I can't wait for the next one. Keep up the great work!
For Russ, For Fenris, For the Allfarther
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lawrence
This is the best book of the series, I could not put it down. Chris has done a superb job of bringing one of the best space marine chapters to life , everything is to detailed through out the book from the battles to the world of Fenris its self, cant wait for the next one in the series please keep them coming
awesome, just awesome
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nathan
this is by far the best one so far, the only thing I'm confused with is if its bjorn on the front, the book says he has a plasma cannon yet he has a assault cannon on the front? or am I blind/miss read it? anyway great book hope fall of damnos is just as good as i'm about to start that next
average

Spoiler alert I was a little dissapointed with this book. There seems to be no give and take in the plot that keeps you reading the Wolves basically won everything even fighting against a Primarch himself. A few thousand vs. a few million that have been planning the strike for centuries with surprise on their side. Wonder who will win?
The Dogs of the Emperor
Rated 5 out of 5 by John W.
I own the first two omibuses for the Space Wolves and was blown away. Of all the Space Marines, the Wolves were designed as the loyalist and the toughest. A rivalry from the Heresy days and the destruction of the Thousand Sons home world now has them coming to Fenris. Magnus and the remnants of his legion versus the Space Wolves. Makes for a battle no one can miss and this delivers through and through.
the author missed the point....
Rated 3 out of 5 by phil
the author seriously missed the point he was writing a book in the SPACE MARINE BATTLES series..to much about the human aspects and other irrelevant subjectsno where near enough about the battle itself to many characters coming and going by far the weakest book in the series for me William King should have taken up this challenge...
Damn good book
Rated 5 out of 5 by Craig
I was not expecting much out of this book. Having just finished, I must say I am very impressed. Great multiple fronts. Deep story. If you have read Prospero Burns or Thousand Sons, you have to read this book. Well done Mr. Wraight.
Marvelous

Wow! This was beyond anything I could've imagine. After the disappointment of reading Prospero Burns this was exactly what I longed for. Kudos to Mr. Wraight! I really hope to see much more from you.
I Heart Magnus

Brilliant

Having just finished the space wolves saga i decided to jump back in with the wolves with battle of the fang and it did not dissapoint. Excellent storyline, in depth character description and feeling and great action scenes all made for an outstanding novel. In my opinion the best space wolves book out there today.
one of the best

Battle of Fang
Rated 5 out of 5 by Grin
Perfect book, both legions were well presented as their main characters. Fight scenes were also fine and I can only say this book is one of the best of all space marines battles. Thousand Sons fans will be pleased -for sure
battle for the fang
Rated 4 out of 5 by harry
it was a great book but i felt it was more about the space wolves then the battle and the thousand sons though i loved how there was a reason why they were invading and not just some vengeance scheme but i loved the depth of Bjorn but i still would have liked more fleshing of the 1000 sons side but still a good book and even better for staying true to the origins while adding a little big something
BRILLIANT!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Kevin
EPIC read. not going to spoil anything but if you read "Thousand Sons" and "Prospero Burns" this is a MUST. Brilliant writing by Chris Wraight. Even though this title was more of a "Space Marine Battle" ~ the wider scope of the saga that became the tragedy of the Thousand Sons and the Space Wolves~ is just downright heartbreaking.

OH MY GOD!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rhys
This book was AMAZING. It is full of excitement, surprise, adrenalin pumping action, twists and turns, as well as seeing the point of view of both sides. FANTASTIC! Would not recommend if you haven't read 'prospero burns' first though. Thousand sons forever!
Nearly everything here!!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gruffudd
I was really impressed with this novel, Chris Wraight has put nearly everything in here. Superb uses of Dreadnoughts and humans, Space Marines and Traitor Marines and the use of a Primarch in a 40k novel instead of in the 30k (Heresy) style. A very interesting twist of the Space Wolves only (failed) successor chapter which in itself deserves its own novel! Bring it on!!
More Space Wolves
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ben
The space marines battle books are fantastic. Chris Wraight was produced some pure magic with his description of the Fang and delivers a book with rich characters for both sides. Awesome book. Bring on more wolves!
Doesn't need to be said
Rated 5 out of 5 by William
This was the first book that I read following Helsreach and my newfound faith in "modern-era" 40k novels. I was a little disappointed at first to learn this was merely just another epic, impossible siege scenario... that mood was quickly changed as I discovered a story just as exciting and unique as Helsreach, with characters and background plot unmatched. Personally, I just consider this, A Thousand Sons, and Prospero Burns as a single trilogy, spanning millenia and crossing over 2 different BL series. Graham McNeill's best non-HH novel, and as I said above, it more or less is one.
Skitja, this is amazing!
Rated 5 out of 5 by D'Andre
A Beautifully, well-written and intense account of the cathartic and legendary Battle of the Fang! It'll keep you on the edge from start to finish. Wraight performed beautifully for the Allfather. For Russ. For Fenris.
