Who Are You Looking At?

The Armageddon Wars are among the most famed battles in Warhammer 40,000 history. Commissar Yarrick’s famous defence of the hive world against the might of Ghazghkull Thraka is legend.

15 years and still slaying

We’ve had Iron Snakes, Valkia and Flesh Tearers so far in our Black Library 15th Birthday celebration. What’s next? Well, we couldn’t possibly have a celebration of fifteen years of great stories without a new tale featuring the Warhammer World’s most iconic partnership, Gotrek and Felix, could we?

Happy Birthday To Us...

New books and a new video trailer

Maybe you followed a Facebook post or clicked on a newsletter. But the truth is that you were always going to come here. Free will is a cruel illusion, a facade contrived by the great manipulator to cover his tracks. He is The Architect of Fate, and it was he who brought you here, subtly manipulating the strands of destiny* to ensure you arrived here and now and the allotted time. I mean, it just wouldn’t do for you to miss his first ever video appearance.

The sound of vengeance

The Ultramarines are proud warriors, fearless fighters and noble heroes. They face their enemies head on and crush them. But that is not the only way to win a war, as Scout Sergeant Telion knows all too well. Here’s an extract from Eye of Vengeance, the upcoming audio drama by Graham McNeill that features the infamous marksman.

Fateweaver part one

Kairos Fateweaver is no ordinary supervillain. Quite apart from the fact that he looks like a sinister two-headed vulture in a toga, he also has mastery over the forces of time and destiny. Architect of Fate contains four linked novellas that feature this Machiavellian greater daemon, and over the next couple of days, we’ll bring you an extract from each one.

The Blood Angels are back

The Blood Angels are back. The stars of the classic Bloodquest graphic novel return in a brand new audio drama. It’s been over a decade since the first Bloodquest graphic novel, and our hero Leonatus was in need of an upgrade. So In time honoured tradition, here’s a before and after.

From the Shadows of Commoragh

Black Library Live! has been and gone for another year, but if you missed it (or just had such a good time that you don't want to wait for next year) don't worry, there are still tickets left for the Black Library Weekender. After packing away all the boxes, we’ve realised that we have some copies of the exclusive event chapbook left. So we’re putting them up for sale on the website.

Tales from the Underhive

Populated by mutants, bounty hunters and feral gangs, the Underhive of Necromunda definitely won’t be appearing on a ‘Top Ten Places to Live’ list anytime soon, but it is an awesome setting for a novel.

The Flesh is Weak

Of the thousand or so Space Marine Chapters in the Imperium, there are very few that we know much about. One of the great things about the Space Marine Battles series is the way it lets us find out more about different Chapters, like the Silver Skulls in last year’s The Gildar Rift or the White Scars in Hunt for Voldorius. Now Chris Wraight (author of last year’s best-selling Space Marine Battles title Battle of the Fang) is taking another largely unexplored Chapter in Wrath of Iron: the Iron Hands.
