Family get-togethers

Family get-togethers:  they don’t usually go down in history as epic events that shape the fate of the galaxy. Unless, of course, your brothers happen to be the most powerful beings known to man.

This is Neil Roberts’ artwork for the forthcoming Horus Heresy: The Primarchs anthology. This is the first time that many of these Primarchs have been depicted in such detail; take a closer look at some of the stunning details.

In tomorow’s blog, Neil will be talking about the process of creating this awesome artwork.

As to which Primarchs feature in the anthology itself, and who the authors will be, those is still closely guarded secrets, but as soon as the Sigillite gives the word, we’ll get more details to you

You can order posters of some of Neil’s other Horus Heresy covers here.

Sanguinius, Mortarion, Magnus, Angron, Jaghatai, ???, Rogal, Horus and Fulgrim. Who is the mystery primarch?

My life will be complete if they expand this design, and to Fulgrim's left are the other 9 Primarchs. My body's implosion, from overexposure to awesomeness, would rival that of an orbital bombardment.

From the Left, I believe this is the order: Fulgrim, Mortarion, Magnus, Angron, Jagahati Khan, Ferrus Manus, Rogal Dorn, Horus and Last one in line speaking with Horus is the Emperor :)

Hmm, I think it is Lorgar on Dorn's right. The order then would be: Sanguinius, Mortarion, Magnus, Angron, Jhaghatai, Lorgar, Dorn, Horus then Fulgrim.

I think from R to L, the characters are:Fulgrim, Horus, Dorn, Perturbo, Khan, Angron, Magnus, Mortarion and Sanguinius. The last one, however, I'm unsure about

im guessing the primarch between dorn and the khan is ferrus manus~ or vulkan. there's no distinguishable feature about him, so im only guessing!

From left to right: Sanguinius, Mortarion, Magnus, Angron, the Kahn, Aurelian, Dorn, Horus, and Fulgrim. The Emperor must be using the loo or something.

Great picture my only complaint is that Magnus the Red is too small compared to the rest of the primarchs.

Ok first this is just awesome,. Second: this is clearly after ullanor crusade and many of the primaries weren't there, I believe that Antron wasn't there and this is in fact night haunter next to Magnus., hence his siz end rather gaunt figure. Also the bald guy may not be Aurelian it could be little Horus as there is a likeness to Horus and.mortarion I believe wasn't there and that may well be typhon.

Im thinking the primarch some people are having trouble identifying is Perturabo, of the Iron Warriors. Easier to do a process of elimination, by looking and heraldry and description from who is definately pictured as well as eliminating those not present by description. From left to righ, we have Sanguinius, Mortarion, Magnus, Angron, Jhagati, ???, Dorn, Horus and Fulgrim. Out of who is not pictured, it is certainly not Guilliman, Jonson, Vulcan, Corax, Alpharius, Ferrus, or Russ. You can tell this by other GW/BL artwork including other novel covers. By elimination, it Leaves only Perturabo and Conrad, and I would say by other literary descriptions and by general color/heraldry, it most likely is Perturabo.

I'm convinced that the last Primarch is Lorgar. He is the only one left with a Legion with heraldy/colour that is grey. Perturabo are too in into his "iron" and have steel armour, and grey armour are not stealthy and scary enough for Curze. And I think that the simple armour is fitting with the description of the "un-special" Primarch (if anything like that woud ever exist, I really really dout :-P ) Didn't Horus have awesome articifer armour like his brothers at that time instead of terminator aromur???

Lorgars armour was goilden, and his skinn is littered with tatoo script

This is Ullanor where the Emperor makes Horus Warmaster. Perturabo was not there, Lorgar was but one between the Khan and Dorn does not look like him at all.

It is most definitly Lorgar, he was there at Ullanor and this is before their legion repainted their armor and his scrip is supposed to be super small as it is the entire book of Lorgar. So from R to L it would be Fulgrim, Horus, Dorn, Lorgar, The Khan, Angron, Magnus, Mortarion, Sanguinus
