Having realised that his attempts to reform the Holy Roman Empire were, at best, unrealistic, Marijan embraced the life of a Polish avant-garde film-maker and set off to make his fortune. Unfortunately, the disturbing 'counter-realism' of his celluloid creations proved a tad esoteric for the mass market, prompting his disappearance from public view shortly after the turn of the second millennium. What happened to Marijan after this point is a matter of conjecture, although various publications bearing his name and likeness have been known to surface from time to time.
